Booker to Hurst Castle
The hired Cessna 172 parked outside the hangars at Booker airfield near High Wycombe.

A sensational view on a fantastic clear day - looking west south-west. Below us is Langstone Harbour. Portsmouth and its harbour occupy the
middle distance, with the Solent on the left and the Isle of Wight at upper left, with Cowes visible at the right-hand end of the island. Southampton
Water stretches off to the right, and the Solent continues on towards Hurst Castle and Poole Bay in the distance.

but you have to wait until the next high tide to get out again.

Hurst Castle from above Yarmouth, IoW. A large battery of guns was set up by Henry VIII in the low buildings to protect the western approaches
to the Solent. The fortress is slightly distorted by the curvature of the window.
