Thudufushi Island
The seaplane terminal at Male Airport, with the north end of the main international runway visible at the left. This photo was actually taken
over the pilot's shoulder as we returned from Thudufushi to the international airport at the end of our holiday.
On the way to Thudufushi, we stopped off at sister island Athuruga to drop off some passengers.
Thudufushi from the seaplane as we come in to land on the lagoon. On the horizon in the middle of the photo is sister-island Athuruga.

The Twin Otter seaplane tied up to the pontoon in the lagoon at Thudufushi.
The dhoni motors across to pick us up from the pontoon and take us to the Reception jetty.
The Reception jetty and the area in front of the Beach Bar (which is soon to become a Teppenyaki restaurant).
The same area at sunset.
The view from the Main Bar entrance, with the start of the Water Villa jetty on the left.
You can hitch a ride from the electric golf-buggies that whizz up and down the Water Village jetty all day.
The Christmas tree in the Main Bar is hung from the ceiling.
Bougainvillea leaves lie scattered under a tree in the Main Bar.
The M1 motorway leads from our room behind me across to the Beach Bar on the far side of the island.
The gardening staff have planted orchids in coconut-shell halves tied to the tree trunks.
