Aaron the heron is always cadging fishy morsels from the bbq grill chef on the beach.   But he's been driven indoors by a sudden rainshower, and Aaron sits by the red-hot bbq grill wondering where his next meal is coming from.

A less welcome inhabitant of the island.  One of the dozen or so fruit bats who fly around as evening draws on.  This one was hanging from the tree a few feet in front of our veranda.
