Frogfish and Octopuses
A moderately rare Giant Frogfish (Antennarius commersonii) at 25m at Kuda Miaru Thila. They vary considerably in colour.
They can open their mouths even wider than this - they can swallow prey as big as they are.
Dive leader Mara snaps the Frogfish as it swims over to another bit of coral.
A few days later we returned to Kuda Miaru Thila and found the Frogfish again just a few meters away.

They are normally very wary, but these two had their minds on other things, so took no notice of us.
Here one stretches out a reassuring tentacle to the other. Aaah...
